CVO Antwerpen shares an insightful project report on the role of serious games
CVO Antwerpen is the project leader of 'SG4Adults' partners' consortium. It is one of the largest centers for adult education certified and funded by the Flemish Government. CVO Antwerpen organises more than 950 modular daytime and evening courses per year at several campuses in and around the city of Antwerp. An increasing percentage of its courses are offered as blended learning.
CVO Antwerpen has been part of 'Entrepreneurs in Serious' project (reference: 2012-1-ES1-LEO05-48248), supported by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission. It has been among the contributors to the report 'Learning Resources for Improving Entrepreneurial Skills. The Role of Serious Games and Social Networks', coordinated by INVESLAN and released in April, 2013. "The report contains relevant information related with serious games and networking for promoting the entrepreneurship culture, it has been elaborated from December 2012 to March 2013 by the Entrepreneurship in Serious LdV TOI project".
Organisations working in the development of collaborative learning environments based on games and social networking, could find the findings very useful and interesting. This report analyzes "the strengths and potential of gaming learning resources and their use in a collaborative environment to promote the entrepreneurial skills, and specially those "soft" skills that promote the entrepreneurial mindset".
